* People will inevitably "support" you right up to the point that you decide to do something they don't agree with. It's infuriating, and I don't think that's support at all.
* I've yet to find anything good about self-deprecation. It comes across as fishing. It makes people feel awkward. And it's just annoying. So knock it off.
* Sometimes thinking about the future is a waste of time.
* I've never wanted a vacation so badly in my life.

Real support can sometimes mean that others offer a differing viewpoint to help you consider perspectives that might otherwise be missed--that seems better than simply agreeing with every idea that gets mentioned. Even if no new perspectives are examined, just because a person doesn't understand your viewpoint--or even disagrees with it--doesn't mean they don't continue to support you--and just as you have every right to your opinion--so do others. You get to determine what you do-whether others agree with you or not. I think you're fortunate to have people that are willing to be honest enough to share their opinion--after all it is only their opinion--you can do what you want with it. Do you always tell people only what they want to hear?
